Green Party Peacebuilding & Environmental Training
DGPR Green Party members received training on leveraging peace and security for environmental protection and community development.
The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda (DGPR) conducted training sessions for its party members in Gisagara and Huye districts of the Southern Province. The training focused on equipping members to contribute to peacebuilding, security, and community development while protecting the environment. Habimana Gustave, the party leader in the Southern Province, emphasized that Rwanda's peace and security are significant opportunities that should be leveraged for productive community development. The sessions covered environmental protection, climate change mitigation, proper waste management, the use of clean cooking energy, and the role of party members in building peaceful families and communities. Members were also trained on using social media to spread positive party activities. Deputy Youth Leader Tuyisenge Aline urged members to be exemplary in their conduct and to showcase the party's good image in their communities through concrete actions.
